I love this carpet and have purchased it three times, in different sizes, over the past couple of years. Eventually, the shedding does stop, and the carpet starts to develop a slight luster to it that looks very high end. It looks very high end for the price and is actually deep navy blue and black. The black is very subtle and highlights the design. My only issue is that it can be difficult to sweep and vacuum. I had to use my high-powered corded Bissel on it until I got a Dyson V11, which makes vacuuming it so much easier. For me this area rug is worth the work to clean it. I just love it.
